My name is Aravind Krishnaswamy and photography is a passion. My interests span a variety of subjects from people, flowers, wildlife, birds, landscapes and even the cosmos. Each of the subjects appeal to me in different ways. I enjoy photographing weddings because it allows me to capture the emotion of an important day in people's lives. Though the subject is different with wildlife photography, I enjoy the patience it takes to capture an animal's majesty.
To me, photography is about having a vision of the image before the shutter button is pressed. From that point on, I work towards realizing that vision, first through composition and lighting, and later through digital processing. The art of photography is a combination of all these processes to create the final image.
Equipment
I shoot exclusively in digital and primarily with a Canon 1D Mark III along with an array of professional lenses. For added creative control, I also use a camera specially modified for full spectrum photography along with specialty lenses such as a fish-eye.
