Lately I’m finding myself more drawn to intimate scenes rather than big dramatic landscapes, especially at iconic travel locations. Goðafoss in Iceland is definitely iconic and on this afternoon I played around with taking both grand vistas and also more ‘detail’ images with a telephoto lens. Just as I was packing up to head out, I saw this scene and was immediately drawn to it. I love the overlapping curves and texture of the banks of snow in the foreground and for me thats the real subject with Goðafoss being more of a background.
