This image was made on a quick road side stop in Iceland last winter. I didn’t even set up the tripod, opting for the flexibility that going handheld would give with framing the little grasses in the foreground just right against the patch of direct light in the middle ground. While that mountain is gorgeously lit with warm morning light, its those grasses in the front that I keep coming back to.
