Thanksgiving weekend is one of my favorite times to visit the waterfalls at Big Basin. The leaves have usually fallen creating a carpet of red and yellow. The water is usually also flowing because by this time there has been a couple of storms. This year, the leaves were there but the water flow was a disaster, still the lowest I’ve ever seen it here. The spot I stood on to make this image was dry, in past years it would have come up past my ankles. Hope we get that rain in January!
