Two Sea Gulls - 645Z, 80-160 @ 100mm, f/16, 1/125s, ISO 200

I made this image while experimenting with sun bursts on our first evening in Bandon, Oregon.  I typically use a tripod for landscape photography, especially when the apertures get really small like f/16 (which is needed for a sun burst).  However, getting the angle just right can be a hassle with a tripod, so its easier to just do it handheld and carefully adjust your position, taking shots.  Normally I would have just discarded the entire series, however I noticed the two sea gulls with contrasting tones and so processed the image to highlight that and for me it seems to work.
