Flames Abstract- X1D-II, 75mm, f/7.1, 1/160s, ISO 400.

I watched how the a couple of minutes after the waves receeded, they left behind these very interesting structures in the sand. Even then I felt like the patterns reminded me of flames and knew thats how I would process it. Peak low tide had just passed and now the tide was on its way back in, so having to be watchful of large waves, I could only try and photograph these patterns quickly handheld. So for that reason, this image actually looks better when its smaller and ironically in my opinion looks better on a small format like Instagram than it probably would as a large print.
