When I saw the sun was about to come out, I had to quickly decide whether to use the first few seconds of morning light on dunes or to turn around incorporate the sun directly into a composition. Its amazing how fast the sun rises, this image was made in the first couple of seconds after the sun cleared the Sierra Nevada and within 45 seconds the sun was too high for interesting images.
