We flew over much of the western and southern portions of Uganda this morning making our way from Kibale Forest National Park to the Uganda-Rwanda border. That flight is among the most beautiful I’ve been on with mountains, dense forest, lakes and rivers all lit by diffused morning sunlight. We are now relaxing at a hotel near Lake Kivu getting ready for the first Gorilla trek tomorrow.
