Lathe Arch has become my preferred subject in the Alabama Hills and while I wasn’t treated to a spectacular sunrise yesterday morning, by spending the entire time with just Lathe Arch I did get to photograph it as the light progressed down the Sierra Nevada range while also photographing it at two very different focal lengths. Which do you prefer, the first very wide angle right as the sun started to kiss the peaks or the second a little longer which fills more of the frame with the Sierra with the sun now fully lighting up the peaks?
