I like both colorful and black & white images and at different times tend to be drawn to either. In this case, the contrast of these color draws me in but the sense of depth keeps my interest. I made this image on an afternoon shoot in Cairngorm National Park on a Scotland trip earlier this year. The light was perfect for this kind of image, being flat and allowing the colors and subtler tones to come out.
