This is a series of 3 images of Hidden Spring Falls at Goldstream Provincial Park near Victoria. The first image is of the overall scene, including this very old, large fallen tree covered in moss. I like the angles and the foreground it provides.

Next, moving up with the falls itself being the primary subject. Two things I liked when making this image were the plants growing on the rock wall and the moss covered logs above the falls. The sky was just cloudy enough to avoid dappled light but not too overcast, perfect light in my opinion.

The last image is a close up of the falls. Most times when photographing a scene like this one, I would approach it in this order, starting farther away and slowly moving up. In this case however, I was drawn immediately to the water and the green wall and made the close up images first and finished with the one farther away.
