I had the chance a few days ago to spend a couple of hours photographing at Point Lobos first thing in the morning. It was still raining lightly just before the preserve opened so I was the second person through the gates and managed to be the only person on the Cypress trail for at least a little bit. I’ve walked past this particular tree dozens of times, but this time since there weren’t a lot of people I lingered and ended up spending over an hour making a variety of images with that tree and its interesting colors, tones and textures. This is the first of 3 images with that tree.
