I love this intimate view of a mosaic of rocks fused together in layers over many years. I made this image late yesterday morning before heading back home and at first missed the scene completely. Even when I was photographing it which is on a busy trail, many hikers walked by puzzled by this buy with an odd camera pointed at a bunch of rocks.
