It is the time of year for big waves on the central California Coast. I made these two images back in late October, but I’ve been visiting the coast regularly the last several weeks and its amazing the effect the storms in the Pacific are having on swell and the waves. It also means extra vigilance when on a beach, especially when you are absorbed in photography. Can’t turn your back on the ocean even for a moment!
