I thought I was being smart this long weekend, escaping the scorching temperatures in the bay area by heading to the Northern California coast. However, I didn’t realize that there are several wildfires ablaze in the forests of Northern California and southern Oregon and to our disappointment the smoke and haze was pretty thick when we arrived in Eureka last night. We decided to cut the trip short and return home and I made this image in the morning on the way out. We also had a wonderful encounter with Elk, including several bulls, I’ll work on those images tomorrow.
